P.S. 503 School of Discovery

2006 - present

PS 503 School of Discovery, an elementary school (K-5) located in Sunset Park, Brooklyn, NY, has a diverse student body, with many students proficient in Chinese, Spanish, and Arabic. The school offers a range of educational pathways including General Education, Spanish Dual Language, Integrated Co-Teaching (ICT), English as a Second Language (ESL), Special Education Teacher Support Services (SETSS), and Self-Contained classrooms, each equipped with 2-3 teachers. The school has recently partnered with Councilwoman Alexa Aviles to renovate the schoolyard. A total of $3.75 million in funding, with $1.5 million dedicated to the school's improvement project and an additional $2.25 million was secured.
