CAMBA Sheepshead Bay Cornerstone at Sheepshead Bay Houses
1977 - present
CAMBA is a non-profit agency that was founded in 1977 and provides services that connect people with opportunities to improve their quality of life. These services include housing stability, education and youth development, family and community support, health, economic development, and legal services. CAMBA provides secure and stable housing to individuals and families facing eviction, allowing children to remain in the schools they attend. CAMBA also offers low-income men and women the technical training needed to launch small businesses. Family support programs help young people learn essential parenting skills. Moreover, CAMBA offers English and adult literacy classes to refugees and immigrants. Children are supported in CAMBA’s after school programs, youth employment offerings, and anti-gang education meetings.
